That’s a lot of tips – you don’t need to use every one for every bet, but keeping these principles in mind will make you a more informed totals bettor. Totals can be very profitable if you’re diligent because casual bettors often overlook many of these factors. For instance, if the total was 48 and the game ended (48 points), everyone’s bets would push – no winners or losers on the total.

Another great addition is the Rewind feature that means you can literally rewind the action and have another go should you meet an untimely death. These rewinds are limited of course, so you have to use them sparingly – but they should prove far more entertaining than constantly slapping the reload key. The silliness extends to your special 'Loco' moves, earned through amassing multiple body counts and/or collecting tokens hidden throughout the city. El Mariachi machine-gun guitar cases, whirling 'tornado' spins of death, exploderising pifiatas and the truly bizarre Sombrero Of Death are just some of the options to play around with. At absolutely no point does Total Overdose take itself even remotely seriously. And unlike GTA, combat is actually half decent thanks mostly to the Max Pbyne-style agility and slo-mo moves.

But before we get into why totals move, let’s look at what these totals actually look like across different sports with some examples. By the end, you’ll know the ins and outs of over/under betting – from why a football game’s total might suddenly drop due to a blizzard, to when it’s smart to grab the over before the line moves. To find value in Over/Under bets, assess the offensive and defensive capabilities of the teams, recent scoring trends, and other factors that might affect the score like weather conditions. An Over/Under bet is a wager on whether the combined total score of a game will be over or under a specified number set by the bookmaker. Totals don’t stay fixed, as they often move when sportsbooks react to new information or heavy betting action.
With the tips from this guide, you should be well on your way to spotting solid over/under opportunities. Whether you’re cheering for a flurry of points or praying for every clock to run out, always remember to have fun and bet responsibly. Of course, that number isn’t set in stone – once betting opens, the total can move (we’ll cover line movement shortly).

The music is rather intense at times and gives you the motivation needed to get through some of the levels. Sound effects are amazing and make you feel like you’re walking along the streets of Los Angeles or a small city in Mexico. The statistics bets are not difficult to calculate at all. For example, if the teams serve more than ten corners in total, the total corners TO 9.5 is to hit. An individual total is a bet wagered on the quantitative indicator of a single team or athlete.

There is a lot of shooting in this game, but you have the help of others who are playing at the same time. Solitary playing is also an option if you don’t want multiple players. You do not need to predict the winner there, which is the key “trick” of this type of betting.

Betting on a first half in a football game eliminates “garbage time” points after a team may have pulled their starters. Betting on a first five inning total in a baseball game eliminates the bullpen and focuses on the starting pitchers. Betting on the first half total often requires a different set of thinking compared to betting the total for the full game. Certainly it’s helped by interspersing the free-form action with the self-contained story arc missions, providing much needed expansion from the limiting confines of the city areas. This game is literally an over the top version of Max Payne & El Matador!!

However, where oddsmakers set the point spread can give bettors insight into the total. For example, an NFL contest had the Houston Texans as 6-point favorites against the Cincinnati Bengals with a total of 42.5 at DraftKings. Oddsmakers believed the Texans were at least a touchdown better than the Bengals, but Cincinnati might not be scoring much given the slightly lower total. And, vice versa, two or less goals result in the win of the TU bet (2.5). Also known as an over/under, a total is a wager on the combined score of both teams in a game. The Total Over 3.5 strategy has no much difference from the previous one, except that odds and number of goals should be higher.
It is the game based on the story line of revenge and it is a first person shooter game. If you bet $115 on the over and 45.5 points are scored, you would lose the bet. The projections for point spreads and totals are derived from the same algorithm, so where the spread sits is directly tied to the total. If the oddsmakers adjust one due to weather or injury information, the other is likely to be adjusted as well. Total Overdose is set to feature a couple of great features that’ll hopefully ensure the frenetic gameplay remains unabated, but not overly repetitive.

Something weird is about to happen, and more often than not, it does, which sums up Total Overdose quite nicely. Rather than run around and find missions in the town, you call them up from a menu, a time-saving feature other games in this genre would be wise to rip-off. There are also tons of save points littered throughout, and you can usually find one in the middle of some of the particularly long story missions. If there’s one missing cliche from Total Overdose, it was probably an accident.

Fortunately there is a menu in the game for quick access to the missions. The best thing in Total Overdose is the gameplay. It may not be entirely original, but is functional and fun. This is the third time I play it and the thing which make me comeback is the insane, silly action. Asian totals are best suited for events with lots of goals/points. „Total Over” or the „TO” bet here means a bet wagered on the quantitative outcome of a certain event exceeding the selected result. Let’s take the number of goals in a football match and the total bet of „TO 2.5”. This outcome implies that 3 or more goals are to be scored in the match. The price established on one or other is a function of how competitive or talented each side is — independently and based on the particular matchup.

The flippancy of the game is very much on show here too, with mini-games like a blood bath in which all the pedestrians turn into versions of something similar to the skeletal Manny from Grim Fandango. The heavy use of chickens and exploding pihatas in the game proper also goes some way to boosting the silliness factor. You can see how the developer has tried to remove anything too GM-like as it went along – the variations in cars are way down, the sizes of each city area feel far smaller, no in-car radio stations. You can imagine Total Overdose to be a pihata full of gameplay treats from Grand Theft Auto, Max Payne, Serious Sam and Tony Hawk’s, smashed open by filmmakers Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. So, to soothe my aching conscience, I’m going to avoid any further mention of the evil slamming liquid, and concentrate on a recent showing of the game, now only a few months away from completion. So, we understand what is over/under in betting – let’s move on to the bet examples.
Based on the practice of professional bettors, you should not expect success in more than 70% of cases. Put simply, the bookmakers will assign a certain totalover price that they think accurately reflects what it should cost the bettor to pick either side of the total combined units being wagered on in the game. The closer the price is to “-110” (in American oddsmaking), the closer the number is in terms of competitive balance. When it gets into the -115 to -120 range, it means there is more betting on one side, and there is the potential for the units offered to move in a direction that resets the competitive balance of the bet.
The “.5” in 48.5 ensures there’s no tie; there’s either over or under. Sportsbooks often use half-point increments to avoid a push, but if a total is a whole number and the game lands exactly on that total, it’s a push (the bet is a tie and you get your money back). If you’ve ever looked at a betting line and seen something like “Total 47.5 (O/U)”, you’ve encountered a total bet. Though the controls in Total Overdose are somewhat klunky, getting too hung up on the flaws of Total Overdose misses its greatest pleasures. Unlike most games, you get a sense that its creators had as much making it as you’re having playing it. And when the Latin-flavored hip-hop and metal mariachi music kicks in after you turn into a Mexican wrestler spouting Spanish gibberish, you realize you have no idea where it’s going next.
